Hey everybody, I just joined the group. Is anybody going to be at Portage Lakes? I'm looking forward to meeting some club members.

There will be at least a handful of us there. Look for CTC shirts / visors / water bottles, and feel free to introduce yourself. Everyone in the club is very friendly and it's nice to meet new members! I'm in for my first Olympic.

I plan to do the Oly if the weather is good - I've done that race in the cold (low 40's) and it is not fun

Jim and Jen, you are going to wait on the weather?!? "There's no such thing as bad weather, just soft people." Ha, but you know if it is 40 degrees race day I will be whining for a while, too See you out there! Alison

Thanks for the razzing Alison! Hey, if it's like 50 in the morning getting out of the water and onto a bike does not sound appealing! And considering how much I have been swimming and biking I probably shouldn't but it'd be nice to get another tri in.

alison - guess i earned that - I'm just not into doing races when the air temp is below 50 - I checked the 10 day forecast this morning and it looks like the temps will be fine

awesome Mark
I have some kids doing the Kids Tri.
Also I have stayed and watched this elite race the last two years.
This will be cool to know someone actually doing it. I will be your cheering section with some of my kids.
I will have some wings waiting for you and root beer

Cool. Since you've witnessed the Alan's race, I'll pick your brain about it before hand. See you there...

All of you waiting on the weather - looks to be good right now: low 60, high 78, partly cloudy, and only a 20% chance of rain. If only it stays that way!

I am 99 percent sure I am racing but undecided on sprint or oly. It would be nice to get another oly under my belt but I haven't been swimming much. I know I could do the sprint and then also get some cheetah points.

Jen, I knew you and Allison had me beat awhile back, so I gave up on the Cheetah points. Oh, and don't worry about the Oly swim, I'm betting on being the last one out of the water.
