The race went really smooth. There was alot of volunteers directing you and stopping traffic. The rumor that everyone had to stop at the stop signs was false, they had police from the surrounding cities at every main intersection stopping oncoming traffic.
As for me it was a great experience. I wanted to get done in 1:15, I ended up riding in at 1:06:xx. The run was on par for the past few 5k's I've done at 21:22. So the transition and the bike were right around 45min. I ended up 9th in my age group.
I saw a few CTC jerseys but, I just joined so I have no idea who is who. lol If you were there I was the guy covered in tattoos from the neck down.

My race went as well as I expected it could go. The last time I did this one was in 2007 and after running strong, I got a flat on the bike with about 2.5 miles to go. Today I was happy to have no mechanical issues. I completed the run in 23:21 and the bike in 36:08 for a total time of 59:29 at the finish. I thought the race organization was a good as ever today.

Great race everyone! It turned out to be a great day in Shaker Heights..... A light drizzle with the weather, then it cleared up and sun came out for the feast after the "race"...... Hat's off to all who volunteered....... The lady that sang the National Anthem was awesome! Talk about a great voice, with a little kick........ www.hmapromotions.net/results.htm

My first ever Biathlon. Nice not to have to run after biking. Finished 18th overall, 2nd in AG.
Ditto on the National Anthem. Very well done.
