I know many of you have raced the Portage Lakes Tri, so I was hoping to hear what the bike course is like. Hilly, flat, rollers?
My My Ride makes it look like the only up-hill is in the first 2 miles.??
I looked at the HFP site and it looks like the Oly course is basically two loops of the Sprint course. ?
Any info would be great. I'm thinking about trying the Oly. ??

Kim - Yes there are some hills on the Portage Lakes course - not like climbing out of the valley - longer and lower grades but you will feel the climb - it is a 2 looper - you don't get all the way back to transition before the start of the second loop - just close - by all means go for the oly - its a fun race - I am thinking I will do it as a last of the season race but it all depends on the weather - it has been known to be real cold

Go for the Oly Kim!!!
As for the course, this was one of my first races (Sprint) and there were some hills but I don't remember them being anything significant - just longer ones like Jim said. I hadn't been biking for more than a month or two when I did this race and wasn't a very good biker and didn't really have any problems with it, so you'll be fine for sure.
