Anyone racing in Muncie next weekend? I just registered and will be camping at the church.
This year is the 30th anniversary of this race! I believe it is the longest running half distance triathlon. Looking forward to the weekend.

SHOUT OUT!!
If anyone gets a chance tonight -- send Bill a message for Muncie at wm_mcintosh@yahoo.com
He's there on his own racing -- the boys and I are home so they can swim in their meet tomorrow -- so I'm sure any words of encouragement (or bitchin, since I'm not there to do it) will be welcome!!

Bill finished in 5:15 -- looks like he heeded advice and took it as training. I haven't heard from him yet though.

Just talked to Bill. He cramped 3 miles into run. Taking 2 salt tabs every 1/2 hour -- said it wasn't as bad as in the past, but still not good 2 weeks out from IMLP. Advice?

I had a long chat with Michael from Infinit about cramps, salt tabs etc at a recent expo as I really battle with cramps. But he wasnt really able to shed any more light on the subject, as there isnt really any conclusive scientific proof about the cause apparantly - at a very recent Drs visit I asked about cramps and an intern told me to exercise more errrrrrrrr DUH. I used Sporty Legs during the IM France - I probably started too late though as I cramped in the swim, took the first dose in T1, but by the time I got into the first loop of the run they had gone, although had caused great concern on the bike. Congrats on finishing Bill. Hope you find out what suits you soon. 2 salt tabs every 1/2 hour does sound extreme, but ? There are so many suggestions about why people cramp, including a shortage of Mg, dehydration, lack of Carbs, and some people are just more prone than others. ezinearticles.com/?Muscle-Cramps-During-Endurance-Events&id=152182findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0NHF/is_4_25/ai_n20512020/
