Any Newbies going to make it out to the first event? This is perfect for you to test out your new tri bike, feel what it is to go fast, learn how to corner and climb, etc. Lots of veterans will be there as well to teach you anything that you wanted to ask but never had the chance. Hope to see y'all out there!

Thanks for the TT last night Tim!! It was my first and it was really cool. Never hopped on my bike and went hard without having to swim first. Definitely, a must try for anyone who has never done one. They are free and he even has awards. It is a win-win situation Tim hope your daughter was excited this time to hear you brought home the OA win last night too!!! Oh, and congrats to Janet Edwards for winning the women's OA.

Directions
• Interstate 480 to Transportation Boulevard. • Go North to Granger Road. • Turn left (West) onto Granger and descend into the Cuyahoga Valley. • Turn right (North) onto Canal Road. You will pass two white suspension bridges along the way. • Follow Canal past Warner Road. • Canal road becomes East 49th. • The entrance to the Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation in on the left. • Follow the hill down to the Nature Center parking lot. • Registration will be in the parking lot from 6 to 6:30pm. • The time trial will start and finish on the MTB path that is across parking lot from the Nature Center.
Course
This edition of the series is tailored for all the Xterra warriors who are gearing up for the west Branch Xterra on the 19th of July. We will be riding the Metroparks MTB loop twice for a total of about 5 miles. Below is the course map. It is entirely on the MTB trail in the Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. The course is mostly downhill with rolling sections throughout. There is 850 feet of climbing per lap with singletrack predominantly down hill. It is really fast but can have some tricky switchbacks and loose dirt sections. There are 5 bridges along the course.
Event Info
• Riders will start at one minute intervals and complete 2 loops. • Everyone will be required to take a test lap before starting the time trial for safety purposes. • The first rider will be sent off at approximately 6:30 pm or after the test lap is completed. • Mountain Bikes and Cyclocross bikes are allowed. No Road or Tri bikes! • Wear your Xterra tri gear. • Course is closed to traffic. It is 90% singletrack with some sections of doubletrack. • The path is in good condition and will be fast. • Event will be held rain or shine. If excessive mud or unsafe conditions are present, we will hold the time trial on pavement as a last resort. • Awards will be given for top 3 riders. • Cost is $5 for all non CTC members and free for members.
Event is open to all CTC members, friends, family, etc. Non-members need to sign a waiver for insurance purposes.
Hope to see all of you with off road bikes out on the trails. If you don't plan on riding, please stop by and help out by volunteering!
Also, the series standings will be posted soon!
