My back bike brake squeaks and it is slowly driving me to drink . Everything looks lined up and the brake works great, but the squeak.....AHksdjfsijfosij! I tried WD-40. No luck. How do I get rid of it?

The position of your brake pads might need some adjustment, or you might possibly need to replace the pads, although I think they are fairly new (right?). Try also cleaning both the pad and braking surface of your rim with a little rubbing alcohol - might be some road grime in there.
My race wheels make my brakes squeak too, and I've never been able to fix it. So I look at the squeaking as an assurance that the brakes ARE working. Then again, I use my brakes as little as possible in races!
BTW, you were kidding about the WD-40, right?

I will give it a good rub down before my next ride and see if that stops it.
Joke about WD-40? Never. I even use it on Gordon when he starts squeaking about something.
I take it I should not have sprayed it on the bike though?

Well, look at it this way: - Friction stops bikes. - WD-40 stops friction.

If you have ceramic rims- learn to enjoy squeaking. Otherwise, try a quick rub-down of the brake pads with some semi course sandpaper. Sometimes grit on the pads can cause it to squeak. Then clean the rim with rubbing alcohol before you touch the pads to the rim. If that doesn't work, try to toe in your pads (make the front of the pad ever so slightly closer to the rim than the rear of the pad). It's an old mountain bike trick that shouldn't work on road bike theoretically, but sometimes might. If nothing else works, take it to a shop and let them bang heads to figure out what's going on. Also- WD-40 will break down the rubber tire. And it stings in your eyes. I would try to keep it away from both.
