I'm pacing the 3:50 group! Sounds like GV may join me for a bit, any others looking to run 8:47 pace It will be cool to have some familiar faces in my pace group this time around!

Steve will be running his first marathon and will surely kick some butt!
I have yet to register for the half, but planning on doing that Friday at the expo. Seeing as the half and the full start at the same time I might join Elizabeth's pace group for a while. 8:47 sounds like a good starting pace for me. My goal is to go under 2 hours, but I think I can get under 1:50!

Congrats to everyone who raced at Akron this weekend. It looks like all the CTC peeps did great. I had a few CTC peeps who started with my group but they were all such speedsters they left me in their dust early on in the race.

Looks like you guys had fun and did well out there George. How was the 3:40 pacer? I don't know the 3:40 guy but eventually I'd like to get in that slot Although I am glad I didn't have to run that pace Saturday. My stomach was a wreck!

I finished my first full marathon!!! My finishing time was 3:19.53. My goal was a 3:10, I was on pace and feeling great till mile 18, when I bonked. Those hills after the Towpath did me in. Couldn't thank Dane (i believe that was his name) and the rest of my pace group enough to get me through the first 18. I can't believe what has become of me this year so far, I started this whole running, biking and swimming thing about 5 months. I completed my first sprint tri in August. My mother passed away in January of this year, I was the one who found her. Those first few months were very hard, and then I found running and it became a great outlet for me. I want to thank everyone on these boards for their great advice, you guys have been awesome. Thanks again, Matt p.s. - don't worry i'm not stopping just after this, just gonna get better.
