I have Tom and Warren Knoll entered to run the Westside Catholic Center 5K this coming Saturday.
Tom is 75 years old and one of the original Ironman. Warren is 44 and both are attempting to raise $1,000,000 for charity by running acropss the United States. (www.USFreedomRun.com)
They are running 30 miles each day and will be in the Cleveland, Ohio area on Friday.
We were in Defiance, Ohio yesterday and had a very nice reception by the local community.

This was a fun little race It was great to meet Tom and Warren and learn about what they're doing
I still can't believe that I finally placed in a race though and they only gave overall awards to first place. Gotta run faster next time I guess...
Congrats to Marie Caputo for winning the women's overall!!!

Steve,
Very nice job with this one. I will make a reccomendation to the race committee on the awards. I think just having the first place overall award is more a function of the race management company and not the race committee, but I will find out.
Also, if you saw the interview by John Telich (Fox 8) with Tom and Waren Knoll after the race the second place finisher was prominately in the backgorund. The overall male winner was not seen at all! I think this played approx 8 times over the weekend.
The Red Menance Dominates the WSCC 5K!
