In with my "Undermedicated" Teammate
We are staying at a Holiday Inn Express. That way we can say- Sure, the Triple T kicked our bootays, but we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Katy Speer and I are going, and also staying at the Lodge. We were actually down there this past weekend to check out the bike courses. We rode most of them, got a little bit lost, but overall had a blast. It's definitely VERY hilly, but also incredibly beautiful. I'm glad we went down for a preview.
Beware of the dogs...I swear we saw more dogs than any other animals out there and several were not caged or tied up so several "greeted" us on the road and chased us. No serious problems, but it could be hazardous with more bikes on the road.
I think it will be a lot fun. Morena Carter

They were pretty good for the most part. Some gravel now and again, and some rough patches, but nothing that stands out as too terrible. Coming into the transition area seemed fine.

I did the JDRF century ride in Ashville NC twice (a really gorgeous place to ride) and I never saw more unleashed dogs in my life. They all seemed to want to chase us too and a couple were quite scary looking. I learned a good trick from someone on that ride and that was to squirt the dog in the face with my water bottle. It worked like a charm and gave us a chance to get away. Amazing how fast you can spin with a dog on your heels. ;D

I know I can be slow at times mentally.. but does anyone else racing the Triple-T understand the rankings??
It just does not make too much sense to me how it worked out.. There is like a group of 90 men and then a group of 25 women and then a group of 90 men and then a group of 25 women..
We are not really mixed to well.. hard to believe the rankings workout like that.. I would of thought it would of been mixed up alittle more than it is.. I know there are some women behind my race number, that race a hell of alot faster than I do..
Thought I would ask.. maybe, I read the rankings wrong... or I was looking at the wrong page...
