Another Du-er.
After the race I'll be looking to get in some mileage on the bike and welcome any riders to join me. Post here, drop me an e-mail, or look for the brightest bike in transition (I'd be the one riding it).

Brandon- I will join you. I was planning on heading north on state rd and taking a little ride through the metroparks and around the chippewa creek loop (if it is open now... it was closed a few weeks ago).. that would add about 25 miles-- round trip with a few nice hills thrown in. How much extra riding did you want to add? See this map... www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1833974Look for me....I will be wearing my snakebite racing gear and riding a purple and black orbea. ANGIE

Never been to this race. Is it better to ride a tri bike or a road bike for this race?

Angie, I didn't realize Hinkley was so close to the Emerald Necklace. That route looks good...I will probably add ~ 50 miles as I am preparing for the TOSRV in a couple weeks, and may just do that loop twice.
We've yet to formally meet, but I should easily recognize you (and your Orbea) from hangin' round Pete's training sessions.
Anyone else up for a spin Sunday morning after the race??

Hey Karming -
It is a hilly ride and I'd say use what your more comfortable on ........now, if you feel good about racing on both your road and TT bike than I'd say your TT may allow you to go just a touch quicker as you'll be able to coast up some of the rollers better.
Brandon - I give you and the rest credit for riding after this event.......this course usually beats the crap out of me and I think I'll be more in the mood for a cookie and nap after this race.....but seriously, you and the others are animals:-)
P.S. - I'll wave bye-bye to you guys/gals while I am eating my cookie!!

Dave,
I'll most likely be waving bye-bye to the FOP'ers in my attempts to stick (as close as possible) to an LSD focused bike day. I would've liked to get in ~90 or 100 miles in the saddle, but I figure about half that after the race will do.
.....and after my ride you just might find me with a pint of Ben & Jerry's pre-nap.
