Anyone else traveling to Richmond April 27th?
Lisa and I were planning on racing The Buzzard but after reviewing the short and long USAT Natl races this year, the plan has changed. Somewhat of a bummer as the Buzzard has always been a favorite. However, it appears all the USAT duathlon races are jammed into Spring. So, with 6 weeks to go and a little arm twisting, we are heading down to Richmond for the race. The course looks VERY spectator friendly, and as that is what I will be doing, this could be fun!
Who else is in?
Thanks

Competing on a national stage - w/ the talents of your extremely gifted wife and yourself........well, good choice.
Best of luck to both of you - I will be cheering for you from Hinkley.

Dave
Ahhhhhhhhhh, looking at the opening 10k splits from last year's Natls in Mason, I am glad I am only going to be watching. Those guys can haul A** and would put me to shame!
Looking at the course maps, it is really going to be fun hanging out as a spectator. Looks like they do the first 10k in two loops, the 40k bike in four loops, and the final run in one loop. By the time the race is over I will need a chiro from turning my head so much!

Yeah Mark,
I hear you - the first time I saw those splits I thought it was a error.
The pro duathlete's are even scary'er.......unreal and off the charts.
Have fun watching.....
