rolling hills on the bike and a mostly flat run...maybe there was one incline on the run. Nice course, fun race.

Steve,
The bike course is nice, not to hilly, pretty fast. The run is a slight incline mostly out to the turn around, some flat sections, but what I remember it was mostly a little incline and a nice slight down hill back.

Angie, I'm probably not going due to an irritated hamstring that I've been babying and the fact that I haven't really been swimming...next year I need a better plan for swimming in August when masters takes a break. Good luck if you're racing! Jacqui

Many of you familiar with this season ending race in the HFP series have dealt with some pretty crappy roads over the years. The good folks at HFP have tried to move the course around over the years, the problem is most of the roads around the PL area are a mess.
Wait, let me clarify that: WERE a mess, as in past-tense. I pre-road the course this morning and what a difference some new asphalt will make
Renninger Rd coming out of the park: BRAND NEW PAVEMENT
Nimisial Rd [the old nut buster of years past]: BRAND SPANKING NEW PAVEMENT
Caston Rd, both E and W: SMOOOOOTHHHHHHH NEW PAVEMENT
Main St between E and W Caston: Yep, you guessed it - NEW PAVEMENT
Mt Pleasent is in excellent shape, paved just a year ago. Main St after Nimisila is still in good shape. THe only road that is in fair to average condition is Christman.
Leave the Rock Shock at home this year!
