There are at least three threads discussing this in the "Race Happenings" forum. Since it's so close to the race, I'd like to start a "Who's participating" thread here. Here are the existing threads: According to the above posts, here's who's participating: - Matt M - "I am actually doing the super sprint that day as my first tri ever."
- Carrie - "I signed up for the cleveland Tri - it is my first time and I didn't know better!"
- benmiralia - "all in all, a great race"
- Roman - "signed up for it back in Feb"
- SaraJean - That's me, and yes, I'm registered to race
- csuviking - Was encouraging people to volunteer
- Charlie - "I do however want to be there for the athletes participating."

Brent,
What time do you and your bike depart from Burke Lakefront Airport? What runway are you using so we can make sure to notify ATC to clear some airspace?
Good luck to all!

My wave starts at 8:05 plus 25min for the swim and 1.5min for transition. I would guess 8:31:30.
Although, my legs are not really recovered from the 100 miles of misery that occured last Sunday.

HaHaHeHe - Good one Mark.....
Well, I can't find the results yet but I hope you did smoke the course Brent.
I'd also like to send a big huge congrats to my good friend Jared Woodford. Jared has been working really hard this year and finally got his 3year wait for the overall win at the Cleveland Triathlon - way to go Jared and very nice 34min 10K closing run........oooohhh - life just isn't fair.
Hope everyone else had a great race aswell - looking forward to any RR.

I definetly did not smoke it. My legs are still pissed about the sweet corn ride! My bike was actually slower than last year! However, I did finish 20th overall and 1st clydesdale.

Question for all who raced:
Did any of you run into other swimmers coming the opposite direction?

Mike,
No - but some guy tried to swim over my back at the start - which I guess is OK with the confusion and all. But I think the same guy tried to swim over my back again about a third of the way thru the race! I was getting concerned that he liked me!
Please call me 216-965-5694. I have a non-TRI related question.

I thought there might be an issue with the swim but it didn't seem to be a problem. The waves were fairly small so that probably helped out. I did miss the view that we used to get by swimming parallel to the shore, but the boat that we used to enter the water off of wasn't there so I'm guessing this was the reason for the course change.
