Anyone doing the Hermes 10-miler tomorrow? For the first time, I'm doing this race by myself - I'd love some company beforehand.

Jen, I will be there! I plan to go for a warm up before the race, so if you or anyone else wants to join me for a 15 to 20 minute warmup, plan to meet at main entrance to HOB at 7:55!

Great! I appreciate the invitation, but I don't think I could hang with you even at your warm-up pace. : )

I'm planning to race in my hometown tomorrow. A 5K in Fairview Park. And if all goes well, all the REAL runners will be at the 10-miler and maybe I can win this thing !! I've come close the last 2 years...

Well, two REAL runners showed up and beat my a$$. It was fun to watch though. Being about 30 seconds behind the leaders the entire time, I got to watch a back and forth dual that went all the way to the finish line.
Still a very cool & scenic course and the price is right (15 beans).

Nice work out there today, Mark.
Hey, you can't control who shows up, as was the case with Lisa's race today. When almost $1000.00 in prize money is out there, you can bet some ringers are gonna show up.
Lisa took top female Master and the $$$ that went with it, top 3 females all Malone College CC/Track members including a 3 time NAIA All American in the 5000 meters. All 22 years young and fast!!!
Top male also a Malone College CC/Track member, he bested two very good runners, Josh Ritchie and Chip Wilson. Race was close on the first lap then this guy just pulled away, wicked fast!
A great race, certified and 2 loops that made it great for the spectators. Post race very nice, too....pancakes/prizes for the support crew
