All right, Rob Reddy got me thinking about this thread with his comments that he needed female sponsorship for his busy 2007 race schedule (i.e. he must be spending way too much coin). So I thought it would be nice to see where everyone is going this year (I enjoy living vicariously through the accomplishments of others).
I've signed up for DATT, IMLP, Charleston Distance Run and IMFL. That is it - my entire schedule for 2007 summed up in about 2 lines.
So where is everyone going (or where has everyone already been this year)?

Pineman is always fun Miamiman would be cool 1o1 in TX as i know some folks thinking about that 70.3 WC but i gotta qualify and then I'm not sure I want to do this race any ways IMFL
of course I can't do all these races - maybe 2 or 3 - or maybe none if the Suggar Momma does not step up to the plate

Here goes: Yours truly Rite Aid Half Mountaineer Half GCT Half Akron Mary 2p relay w/better half Stomp the Grapes Half mary some sprints and olys thrown in Lisa's schedule 8-10 Subway Ohio Challenge Series Road Races Buzzard and/or Silver Springs Du USAT Du Natls Akron Mary 2p relay and/or PowerMan Ohio Stomp the Grapes one or two sprint/oly du's thrown in As for Rob " sugar momma" Reddy, your race fee for GCT Oly Team is paid for if you don't mind doing the swim portion for Lisa....can't pass up a deal like that, can you? One point I would like to make- if anyone from CTC is looking for a very cool half-mary in October, you might want to check out Stomp the Grapes held in mid-October down south. Terry Lewis of RS Racing Systems www.ohiochallengeseries.com/index.cfm?template=text&form_text_id=317is a great asset to the NE Ohio road running circuit. Stomp the Grapes is a great half mary, a tough but fair course in only it's second year. All entrants get a certified half [multi member team race available] and a terrific post race party at the Winery at Perennial Vineyards. Free food, refreshments, great shwag, FREE vino and your entry includes free entry for your guest into the post race party. A nominal charge get's your entire family in if you so decide to bring them. Check it out at: www.ohiochallengeseries.com. Hope to see many of the CTC'ers out there come October. It really is a great race Regards, Mark

My (short) race schedule
Cali 70.3 (in da books, March 31) Rite Aid 1/2 mary (May20) Sunday in June (June 10) Not sure which distance the coach will let me do IMCdA June 24
The rest of the year is TBA. I will race every chance I get, but July-November has me in medicine and surgery rotations, so I'm not sure how frequently I'll have a weekend off. I might attempt an open marathon and another half IM.

I'm still somewhat of a newbie. This season, I'm concentrating on running, my weakest sport.
3/29 - Case Center for Women 5K (33:00 - a personal record) 4/14 - "Run for Life" 5K (32:30) 5/20 - Rite Aid 1/2M (registered, and I'll probably walk a lot of it) 7/15 - 5K sponsored by Hein Publishing (no entry fee!) 8/5 - Cleveland Triathlon - Sprint distance (registered)
Late August or Early September - Surgery to correct problem with ankle caused by repeated sprains. (I saw the podiatrist for something unrelated, he noticed the problem, and he told me it could be fixed with surgery. I'd been living with the problem for over 20 years, so I'd just accepted that I was stuck with a weak ankle.)

ya know, it's really hard to hang with a bunch of over-achievers My schedule looks pathetic compared to the rest of yours "A" race and the only one the occupies my thoughts - GCT 1/2 Everything else is filler and flexible... Cleveland 1/2 mary (May 20) Tour de Cure 100k ride (June 10) Munroe Falls sprint (June 24: joining a friend in his debut) Either Caesar Creek -or- Buckeye Lake Olympic (July 8, 15)

I'm takin then red menace to Central Ohio, to race those COTT boys, this year for the Fat Rabbit "Battle of Ohio" race series. It's 3 sprint Tri 's at Vineyard, Alum Creek and Columbus earning points for a age group championship. Also the Ultra fit races at Alum Creek Du, Wendys Tri, and Great Ohioan Aquathon. (This race is a swim - run only. The run is on a park trail at Delaware State Park.) Then I will move up to a Olympic Tri at GCT.
Also I'm in the Hermes race series and need 7 races min. for the points.
Go CTC in 07!! Wear your singlet, let's get someone's picture in Triathlete mag. this year. This club has super talent !
