I know it's not a triathlon, duathon, or marathon, but I was wondering if anyone else was planning to participate in the 2006 Cleveland Race for the Cure 5K on Saturday, October 14. Here's a link to the website: www.komenneohio.org/

Im in. This is a great race to support. If you plan on running make sure you get in front of all the walkers. The starting area is really bottlenecked and gets really congested with people so try and group yourself accordingly. Last year I remember coming across the finish by the GReat Lakes Science Center and people were still starting the course.

I am doing this race, too! I am running with a team from work, team Dominion.
Yeah, I hear the race is super crouded, but according to the schedule the 5K is going to be split into two events, walkers and racers, and start 15 minutes apart to avoid some of the problems you mentioned.

I ran this in support of two friends last year. It sealed my committment to raise money for Komen through IM Lake Placid. Unfortunately I will be at the Baltimore Half that day. Bummed I'm going to miss it this year. Hopefully the weather will be better than last year.
