Any othere CTCers going to Chicago? I am a fool and haven't booked a hotel room yet. So if anyone needs a roomie let me know! I am debating driving to the race and also wouldn't mind some company for the ride. Not sure yet if any SERC peeps are going too.

Elizabeth,
You may be better off flying to Chicago. You can get there pretty cheap. Marathon discount. Paying for tolls, gas, and parking @ $40.00 a night if your staying downtown can add up to alot more then the hour flight from Hopkins. Its only like $7.00 to take the train from the airport to the city vs a $40 cab ride. Bye the way, Most hotels downtown are at least $250 a night. Have fun, its a great race.

I think that I have an extra room at the Embassy Suites in downtown that you can have (I booked two). I'll know by the end of the week.
You can email me for more info.

Thanks all! I am feeling much better now. I was having a mini freak out earlier! I will email you Kar-Ming. I am going to see if I can find something cheap first. George I saw that the flights aren't too bad, I may have to consider that!
Marathon Durno on October 22nd!

Just booked my flight today on Southwest--definitely better than the hassle of driving! I will be there to help my buddy get through her first marathon, and cheer on all the CTC'ers!

Elizabeth,
If you truly want a "budget-priced" (not cheap...that just sounds so....well, cheap!) hotel try casshotel.com (I think that's the site) or type in Cass Hotel in Chicago. It's only $105/night, I think...maybe less. It's the BEST location. My friend and I are doing the 1/2 on Oct. 1st and that's where we'll stay (same as last year). Also, because I love Chicago and try to go often, I've also found a cheap way to travel (we'll try it for the first time in September). Try megasbus.com. No joke- we paid $10 for a roundtrip ticket for 2 people. It's supposed to be a reputable company...my husband found it in the Wall Street Journal.
