Who is running this race? Anyone pacing for a 4 hour marathon?

I'm running it, but don't plan on a 4 hour finish. I think Eric's wife Amy is pacing the second half for the 4:45 people. Wear something bright Suzi so I can spot you way up ahead of me. Perhaps it will motivate me, like a beacon.

Hello all... I am pleased to announce that CWRRC (cleveland west road runners) have invited all CTC members along with CAMBA and some other groups to share in the fun at their starting line tent. It will be set up on the grassy hill next to the start line. You can leave your bag there and meet after the race for socializing and snacks. Thanks to Mike from CWRRC for inviting us.
I will be there and am planning to do the half. ANGIE

I already did Disney in 06 so I only registered for the half, unless I can be convinced otherwise. LOL

George,
How was Disney? My wife and I are thinking about doing it in 2007 or 2008 [she the 1/2 and I would do the full]. I understand they have a 1/2 one day and the full the next...correct? Opinions on the race, we both thought it would be nice to take the kids to Disney and get in a little exercise while we were there. Best of luck at Cleveland, the half is a nice course, I ran it last year. I will be doing the full this year but if I feel like I did in 2004, I might just make the turn at E 17th! LOL
Regards, Mark

HI Mark, Few thing I should tell you about the Disney Marathon. First of all we had a great time and I am glad that I did it. My wife also ran the 1/2 the day before. They also have the Goofey race and a half. You can do the half on Saturday then the full on Sunday. I only did the Marathon. As a spectator for the 1/2, I wished I entered both and just took it easy. They want you in the corrals at least by 5:00am for a 6:00 start, so be prepared to get up extra early. We also entered our 2 daughters in the kids race. Unless you dont have anything better to do, I would skip that. They were an hour late starting and not that many characters there. I do suggest that you register early because it sells out around August. My final take on this one, Disney is Disney , and its a great family vacation.

Just a reminder for club members.. come to the tent
CLEVELAND MARATHON Many Club members are planning to do the Cleveland Marathon on Sunday, May 21. Why not come downtown and show your support? Our friends at the Cleveland West Road Runners Club have even invited us to share their tent on the grassy knoll at the starting line on the south side of St. Clair between E 9th St. and E 12th St. Look for the Cleveland Triathlon Club banner outside the tent. Club members running the race can leave their dry clothes bag there and pick it up after the race. Someone will be there to watch the stuff. We will also have drinks and fruit available.

I was just talked into doing the 1/2 instead of the 10K tomorrow. I don't think I've ever run farther than 8 miles in one outing. This is crazy! I'll be the one passed out at the 10 mile mark Good luck everyone!
