Just got back from the Turkey Trot. After last year's weather fiasco, it was a relief to have such a beautiful day to run. Saw a lot of Club members: Sam and Joe Joseph (and Gabriella), Lou D.(who ran some ridiculous 28-ish minute time...enjoy the pie!), Durno (I didn't make much of an effort to say hi, Mark, because of that d**n Steelers cap), Janet, Charlie, Jack, George (sporting a new tat), Roger, and, of course, Jen. I know there were more out there.
After such a disappointing race year I was happy to run a 34:10. Turns out it was a little bit off my PR, but only by about 20 seconds. I'll take that!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yes it was very nice weather and it was good to see a bunch of club members. I had planned on a pretty easy effort today but Charlie dragged me around the course faster than I intended. So not a PR but 39:11 was a good workout for me.
Happy Thanksgiving.

I didn't trot....I dashed. The Turkey Dash in Avon. went 19:12 in the foggy morning.

Agreed, it was a fantastic morning for a "strut". Since this was my first go at this course, I gotta say... what a cool course. Very scenic - no rediculous hills. Just so you know - that Steeler aero-cap saved me .01 seconds per mile !!

I have run this race probably the last 15 years and this was definitly the best weather I can remember. Main thing was very little wind. Did 36.27 and feel a bit sore tonight.

That was fun. It was good to be able to spend Thanksgiving with everyone on such a perfect day. Thanks for pushing the pace Jack.

My plan for a personal worst was foiled when I ran into the Josephs. Thank goodness they had a jogging stroller to push or I wouldn't have been able to keep up. I helped push the stroller for the last 2.5 miles including passing many people on the W. 3 hill. That was pretty cool. Our last mile was the fastest and we finished just under 49 minutes.
Great to see everyone yesterday! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

What an absolutely gorgeous morning for the run! It is just the perfect way to start the big eating day! I think I even ended up with a PR at 36.13.
