I'm sitting here drawing up my plan for the rest of winter, and im wondering who includes time in a weight room in their weekly totals? If i don't (the way im leaning as i consider it extra curricular activity) i'll be doing between 10 and 12 hours a week. If i do include it, it adds nearly 3 hours a week.
I guess im wondering if weight training could contribute to over training? Or if because it's so different to the SBR deal that it won't hurt me, and thus shouldn't count to weekly workout totals. If it does contribute to over training, ill count it to avoid killing myself.

I track every thing. Training is training. I have actually been considering tracking commute time and anytime I need to prepare or recover from a workout. Time is some times tight. I need to know how much I am using.
Keeping weekly totals isn't for bragging rights. There is no exact way to train. We need to track what we do to understand what works for us. The more details you log, the more you will understand your own patterns and abilities, what works and what doesn't. All of the time I spend on triathlon specific activities can lead to burnout and over training if I am not careful. With as much time as we spend in IM training, you have to get a good feel for how much your body, mind, family, job and school can take. By keeping track of this, I am able to look back and make decisions based on this knowledge. I have been looking back at my logs from last year a lot lately. One year ago I was over training. I had developed a slight upper hamsting pull and I was about to take on a flu that stretched from now through St Patrick's day. Believe me, I am using this knowledge from the past to shape my schedule. Knowing how much time I spend with each sport helps me to budget my time more efficiently.
I am in a better place health wise this year. The details I kept from last year are playing a big roll in this.
