Has anyone tried those IT band straps I've seen in the back of magazines? After my first marathon in the fall my IT band is still sore, I have taken time off, I stretch, and strength train. Any ideas?

Go to the doctor and make sure it's a tight IT band thats the problem.
I have had IT band issues for the last couple of months, and it took 5 weeks before i went to a doc and found out my IT band isnt that tight, but i had developed bursitis.

I think those bands are just like putting a band-aid over a problem. Figure out what the real issue is with your leg, you shouldn't have pain there if you have trained properly.
I've had period IT band issues and it generally relates to me not wearing the right shoes or training too much too soon.
