So how many of you are going to run some races this year - like a 1/2marathon or a full marathon. Well, hopefully your race-day will come and you will be well prepared for whatever you hope to accomplish during that event. Most everyone I know usually has some sort of time goal associated with their race - some are very exact and some are ballpark but all are a time which equals a pace per mile. If you have an exact pace or even a general one then this gameplan that follows will really give you a great shot at success in your race. IMO - running a race with a game plan and then being able to actually "execute" the gameplan are overwhelmingly rewarding - give this a try next time out. www.centralparktc.org/training/coach01.htmThis can work great for many different distances but particularly favors the longer races - for a 1/2marathon just make it the 5/5/5 rule. P.S. - Matt C - I love the S.M.A.R.T. idea from your blog....that thought pattern is amazingly applicable to so much that we do in our daily lives and our sporting events.
