Does anyone use powercranks? I was looking into them, and like all products, they have promise great rewards in terms of biking and running power.
just curious if anyone here uses them and what their thoughts are. Seems like people that use them swear by them...
Lemme know..

I've never even seen em, but Frank Day, the inventor, posts a lot on slowtwitch.com. He defends them very vigorously against many detractors, most of whom admit they've never used em themselves. Many of his customers also chime in about how much the cranks have helped them. I know of one well known club member who has used them, hopefully he'll respond with his review.

Dave,
I am just an average joe age group triathlete. I have done numerous sprints and olympics and am planning on doing my first HIM this spring. I actually just bought my first tri bike a few weeks back.
I currently do all my riding on a cyclops fluid...as you know the weather situation here in cleveland. I was looking at a computrainer or the power cranks as ways to 'enhance' my indoor riding.
After reading all the reviews and slowtwitch stuff on the powercranks, I admit it sounds a bit of too good to be true (albiet the painful start). I was just looking for a review that was NOT from a pro....as they seem abnoxiously over priced...I am curious if others feel they are worth the money.
FYI. I am in no way affiliated with any bike shop, product, sponser, or the like.

Sorry EBB,
With your sign-in as guest and with no specific name I just figured you were throwing out a sales pitch.
Anyhow, there is a ton of information on the powercranks on ST......I have never used them myself.
I do have a computrainer and I really love the machine. It is very versitile in that you can ride courses - do power-based workouts - do testing to find different hr zones, etc......
