So now that pretty much all the 07 LC racing is done - we need to get a list of what HIM and IMs people are dooing in 08. We have listed this info under the Long Course section of the web site - SOOOO if you DO NOT want your info listed please indicate that in your response other wise you will be going on PUBLIC record of your intentions for 08 ;]
Also if you could list your email (optional) that would help in getting this list together.
As for me.....
IM Brazil IMKY
going out to Wildflower but only racing the Oly (working with TNT)
Mountaineer HIM Greater Cleve HIM
Possibly HIM Cali
who knows what else.

As a training tool for my olympic schedule, I plan to do at least one Half IM. Not sure which one though. Timing-wise it looks like Mountaineer is ideal, but we'll see.... As a side note - I'm seriously considering doing the entire HFP Wheelie Fun series (olympic distance). Anyone else interested (I know Roger has done this in the past)?

Although my race schedule always tends to be tentative, here's what I'm thinking right now: Spring classic 1/2 marathon Cleveland marathon Some HIM (still up in the air, maybe steelhead?) Great Lakes Escape (this would be 5 years in a row) There will probably be a few other reaces in there as well, and at least one sprint for the pure fun of being done in an hour and, well, sprinting

For me: NOTHING LONG After 4 years of 70.3 and 140.6 it is time to get back to my roots. Short course triathlon and duathlon and short [5k/10k] road racing. I miss going fast !!! I will live vicariously through all of you!

After my first 70.3 and stand alone half-mary last year I'm looking forward season #2.
Looking to peak late summer for: Steelhead 70.3 Fall marathon (my first): Maybe Akron or Columbus....or Philly if Steelhead wipes me out big time.
Undecided Spring Half-mary: Cleveland or, Spring Classic, or my Beast of the NE choice, Mill Creek Classic
If my winter training is on par: Little Smokies 70.3

January: Arizona Marathon
March/April: early running races that Hermes puts on - especially hoping to do the 10 miler usually held in April
May: perhaps and early HIM in North Carolina and then the big race of my year: Triple T with my teammate, Katy
June: rest; and then maybe a fun sprint or OLY (like Mountaineer since it seems like everyone's going)
July: Musselman HIM; maybe another fun sprint
August: GCT - not sure which distance; would love to do Great Lakes Escape too
Fall: if I'm in good health I'll probably try to do alocal half-marathon and the usual little 5Ks
Looking forward to a fun and healthy 2nd season! email: morenacarter@gmail.com
