So here's the million dollar question...What's everyone doing for next year!?!? I'm thinking of trying to sign up for Wisconsin next year and/or possibly Coeur d'Alene. Is anyone doing either of those or any others? It was awesome having all of that NE Ohio support out at Louisville this year!

And you were a little reluctant on IMKY.... Ever consider Arizona or florida? Loved those KY rollers though. Maybe a some long openwaters? Mr. BMC Brian

I'm Sprints, Oly, Half's next year. No IMs.
Danielle may be doing IMKY again, she is waiting a week or two to decide (since Lou takes longer to fill anyways)

Long stuff: Wildflower Half IM. Maybe a fall Half IM. Like Angie, I'm planning to do the HFP Wheelie Fun (Olympic) series next year. 6 quality OLY races for 300 bucks - can't beat that !

I'm looking for a good HIM that doesn't include swimming in Lake Michigan or Lake Erie LOL - actually thinking about Vineman, Eagleman, or Timberman - anyone have experience with one of them - 2011 will be another IM - Looking at IMC, or could be Arizona - still can't get excited about swimming in the Ohio river - Phil how long did it take to get out of the Hazmat suit in T1

Jim, I did the Full Vineman in 2006. Jen did Barb's Race. Both on the same route as the 70.3. Good race; there's probably a RR back in the archives.

Chris, what do you mean by long open waters??? You've seen my swim...not so fast and/or efficient! Haha! I don't think I'm planning on swimming to Put-n-Bay this fall!
Arizona IM in the fall next year might be good, I've heard the swim is a bit of a cluster though. I'm not sure when Florida is, but that's always a possibility... Keep me posted if you decide on another repeat performance!

After a little thought and a little burnout I'm feeling like the half is the way to go for 2010. Steelhead is likely a choice, although that race is purely in existence to make money, it's just easy. I would like to look into some other close IM 70.3's Mainly working on my run. Most people do a lot of runing, I don't. Short and sweet next summer.
Brian-We only try to swim home from put-in-bay at 3 am.

Jim- I second Eagleman.. nice town, pretty course but nasty wind on the bike and wicked humidity. I did it this year. Shoot me an email if you want some details. However, the 2010 race is already closed... sorry to get your hopes up. You could do the aqua velo though... it is still open. www.tricolumbia.org/Eagleman/ANGIE

I am not usually one to plan a year ahead, but this race looks like a blast, and I was sad I couldn't do it this year. I really hope I can make it in 2010. www.estevents.com/race-bow.htm10 leg race: run, bike, swim, run, swim, run, swim, run, bike, run. bike distance is a bit short, but the swim and run total is a little longer than a 1/2IM Alison

I'm pretty seriously thinking about signing up for Wisconsin today if it does not sell out onsite first. Does anyone have any thoughts on the course in comparison to Louisville?
Also, has anyone done Arizona?

Swim Course is a 2 loop swim in Madison with a in water start. Bike course is very similiar. Run is a little harder with a big hill you run twice. I think IMMOO is alot better venue.
Arizona is one of my favorite courses. Will be there in November.

For me I'm thinking it might be a summer of the HIMs...have already signed up for CP half. Would like to consider doing an early one (like R4R) and maybe Musselman because I heard so many great things about it or Steelhead. Definitely like the Oly distance although my slow swimming keeps me from being as competitive as I'd like but hey I have something to work on in the winter! So that makes me think of considering the HFP series but it'd be nice to travel out of the area too. Who knows?! And, if all goes well Oct 18 I'll run Boston in April!

If a half counts, then I've just joined the Long Course Group, too.
I'm looking to do a couple of sprints and Olys and then Cedar Point 1/2.
I'm sure I'll be checking in with you long course folks for plenty of advice.
